The rides need to be split up between the early races and the late ones.

Haha, Mike, I modified the first post to make it less confusing... there is room for you in the carpool if you want to join

Andrew, yeah they record all the results in the same place. Sometimes they just call it 'Elite 4'. senior = elite = 19-34yrs old.

Hey Trevor, Glad to hear you signed up, it'll be fun! Did you need a lift down, or are you going to make your own way?

Just signed up. I'm very excited. Andrew M; Is it O.K if I get back to you by tomorrow evening? I'm going to see if my bike fits in my car first and get back to you whether or not I'll need your help- I'll be at work all day on Thursday and have a prior commitment right after until well, bed time.

Due to the fact that my crank may have bitten the biscuit, I may be riding down hybrid style or I'll drive if spots are needed.

Ohhhh Dana-- that's so weird! As for carpooling, it looks like we may have it covered: Andrew and I were chatting today and thought maybe for the 9:00am start folks (Andrew, Mike M, Eric), if you'd like to be there at least 90 min before your race start, and it's a ~35 min drive from Guelph, meeting around 6:30 would likely give you enough time. But I'm not in that car, just facilitating the discussion

Hey Andrew,
If I'm able to get a ride with you, will you be sticking around all day to watch the other races or coming back to Guelph fairly soon after our race?

I'll likely stick around for a bit depending on who all comes down just to check out the race. so based on the PM, I think it might be easier for you to take your own car down.

Ally and I are riding in to watch the races if anyone is interested in joining, we're leaving from the cannon at 8, it's going to be a nice easy ride so you don't have to worry about pace.

Upon inspection of the transportation, is there room for someone in Andrew's car? No bike. Some of you have met him, but he's my friend Morgan. He wants to come spectate. Andrew, is there room for one more in your car and you are getting things together for 6:30 a.m.? Let me know. Edited to say that Morgan can speak for himself but he doesn't have internet at home

Does anyone know how to upload videos to the internet without using youtube, or making people download them? I have a great one of Bayden/Mark's group finishing with that crash at the end (the camera pans up so you can't see them cross but its good nonetheless)

good news. The guy who was down and unconscious from the 9:00am start is OK with nothing broken or sprained, just concussed. I caught his jersey as we rolled by and checked out the st.kitts forum tonight. Nice to see everyone out today! Get out and enjoy the weekend on your bike. I`m gonna go back to working on my assignment now... booooooooooo.

it was an awsome day! Road racing a little more dangerous then I thought, especially in the 9:00am start there are alot of riders zig zaggin everwhere. I saw the young kid who is in the hospital go down about 10 ft infront of me. Going about 65-70km/h and he hit a tire swerved into the guard rail snapped his front tire and his frame in half, then his head went into the wooden posts and he shot out back onto the road. Pretty scary stuff, but it was definately a fun race for my first road race. I also learned the hard way that if the wind is coming at you from an angle, you are not protected from it if you are directly behind the guy infront of you:( that had me working way harder then I should have been. I watched all the races except the last wave (elites) it was crazy that every sprint finish had riders go down. Hope everyone's alright.
Congrats to Bayden and Anton way to go guys

Heys guys, my dad came home from work and told me about the accident, one of his partners was sent to the scene. I was worried it might have been someone from the club. I was extremely relieved to hear he wasn't, and that he should be making a recovery. Hope everyone had a great race and a terrific Easter. See you soon.

Oh boy, those people shouldn't have been in the beginner's category. They all looked fast and were actually fast. I'm not used to riding with a bunch of people so I had to ride by myself the whole time to avoid crashing into someone. But overall, it was a lot more fun than I'd imagined!
