excellent question.
let's dissect it into its constituent parts:
1. "diamond" - n. precious gemstone composed almost entirely of carbon atoms. extremely hard, essentially colourless but renowned for its light-scattering ability. used extensively in jewellery.
2. "pie" - n. delicious baked food, characterized by having a crust made of pastry. various fillings are possible, depending on whether a sweet or savoury pie is preferred.

No! I would love to see how far you get biting into a diamond! Ask geologist Mike M about that one.
Now, how about we look up 'pretentious ginger', and break it into its constituent parts.
"pretentious" - attempting to impress by affecting greater importance, talent, culture, etc., than is actually possessed
"ginger" - A human, characterized by pale skin, freckles and bright red hair. "Gingers" are generally considered to be inferior to their more melanin-rich brethren, and thus deservingly discriminated against. Gingers are thought to have no souls. The condition, "gingervitis" is genetic and incurable.

lesson 1 of being near me: most of the time, i'm not being serious, but it pays to know when i am. because then it's BLACK-MAMBA-SERIOUS.

Did you know that the word potluck, stems from the word potlach, which is a tradition of the Hida people of the West Coast of Canada. Traditionally you have a potlach with neighbouring tribes to promote peace and establish trust in order to establish new trading partners. People would give food, tools, blankets and even women to the other tribe. They would then have a 'party' with food and dance that would last long into the night. If the tribe accepts the gifts brought to the potluck, they would then be deemed suitable trading partners. Just thought I would throw that in there...its common knowledge in BC now you know.

Oh also if anyone wants to help out with the music situation that would be sweet! Oh and it's not a kegger, that's for later on! Bring your own booze, and dishes to contribute to the awesomeness that is a potluck!

jenni you stole my word. i demand credit! (and satisfaction) haha I knew it was your word. That's why I used it. It obviously should be in the dictionary. You can have credit. Also, I hope that diamond pie is enough satisfaction.

I might come. It will be a last minute decision. If I do come I will bring ethnic diversity.... aka dumplings. Unfortunately they are not gluten free.

I'm in. I'll figure something out about an hour before the potluck. Count me down for "mystery dish". It'll probably be halapeno poppers.

i'm pretty sure Brian is bringing dick soup... Was I just made the subject of fun on this message board? As reparations, I am stealing 3 of your dance moves and not eating whatever you bring tonight in protest.
