I say we do it again, same points as last year. Point system: Rattlesnake = 4 Other Escarpment Climbs (OEC). = 3 Watson Rd. northbound= 2 (AKA 'col de watson' and the 'watsonberg') Wellington Rd 44 = 2 Grange/Regent = 1 The hills maps.google.ca/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=UTF8&msa=0&ll=43.468494,-79.937038&spn=0.080356,0.110722&z=13&msid=218168123668439720288.0004a0c3f76dfcf262356 Points - As of August 26th andrewm - 259 toucanlife - 106 gill -83 Flav - 77 Rookie Dan - 58 chriso - 42 Kaylynn - 34 adamo - 33 Smyth - 33 Mariah - 27 nickyf - 22 jacattack - 14 Nico - 24 Zavy - 11 Laura- 8 Riley- 8 Shannen - 5 Mcgrill- 4 Dana- 4!

This could get ugly. Let the betting begin! $10 on Karen domination.
PS: Rattlesnake is super sketch right now, there is a lot of sand that is on the road. I wouldn't advise trying to ride it until we get some rainy days.

I propose a different points system for rides, especially when we don't always ride the limited number of climbs listed. Map out ride on map my ride
1.You get 1% of the total amount of climbing listed as per mapmyride.com I.e if it says you did a total of 650m of climbing then you get 6.5 points. 2. 50 points for a cat.1 climb,40 for a cat.2, 30 for a 3, 20 for a 4, 10 for a 5.
That way everyone can compete without having to ride the same hills to amass points...
Thoughts??

I think it would get to complicated for everyone to do it. This is just a friendly competition for those who are around Guelph for the summer to push each other so lets keep it simple

I dont feel like checking Map My Ride after every ride and figuring out all the points for a ride. Im not sure whats considered a Cat1,2,3 etc climb either... The current system does exclude people who ride outside of the area but most of us ride around here so it works.
