Hello!
My name is Alison, I graduated with my BSc. in Physics last year, but I, like many others, have returned to Guelph. I am new to the club. I love to cycle but I do not race. I often ride road, or light trails. I don't know a lot of the trails around Guelph and I would love to learn them, Unfortunately I am teaching 8 to 9 spin classes a week so the days I am up to riding are limited. I am looking to go on longer scenic rides on weekends if anyone is interested.
Really nice to meet you all.

Hey Guys my name is Trevor, new to UGC. I'm in my second year of Kinesiology at the University of Guelph Humber and I commute from Mississauga. I race xc, do running races, as well as tri's. I have probably seen a few of you guys in the last couple mtb races, you just had no idea who I was.
Anyways I'm real pumped to be part of the UGC (especially the one that came 1st in the U-cup!) Looking forward to some awsome riding
cheers

I'm Nicole I have graduated from U of G a few years ago and now work here.
I love cyclocross and mountain bike but will ride my Jake the Snake on road rides as well.
This summer I managed to put a chain ring through my Achilles tendant and was off the bike (and my feet) for six weeks.

Hi guys,
This seems like a bit late intro but here goes. My name is Eric and I finished my HB.Sc at U of G and am taking some extra courses til I get into vet school. I started MTB this July and road cycling yesterday. I love the sport and wish I had gotten into it sooner. I hope there are more rides before the snow hits us!

Never too late Eric, in fact, you're just really EARLY for next year. Way to be so on top of it.
And yes there will be tons of rides going on. Just keep checking here and don't be shy to post your own rides whenever works best for you.

I am awesome, I know. Yeah, his first ride and he was so totally faster than me... bah. Anyway, somehow I keep randomly talking about bikes and someone will be like "oh you ride?' and then bam! It's happened a few times now...

hey guys my name is Greg, i just started at guelph last semester, and just found out about this club so i joined...makes perfect sense joining a cycling club in the winter right ...anyway I used to do a lot of road cycling, then i went to asia for a year and got out of cycling but now id like to get back into shape and maybe pick up some techniques to improve my riding so I don't suck as much lol

Hey Snake, No worries about joining in the winter, this club never shuts down! We tone down the outside riding (some don't) but that's about it! We happen to be doing our annual jersey order right now, so if you know you'll be riding with us at any point ya might want to think about grabbing one (not a requirement though), last day to order is Jan. 22. gmtb.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=general&action=display&thread=2409

Hello UGC,
I thought that I should make it official. I would like to be a member of the UGC 'cause ya'll rock my socks and bikes are cool too.
That's right. When the weather gets nicer I will transition from Sarah Baldwin (who shows up at parties and runs and stuff) to Sarah Baldwin (who also sometimes rides).
Now the race is on... who will officially greet me first?
Booyeah, Sarah Baldwin

Heck yes you are! Fruity for the win! I check this thing like it's my job. Well welcome to the club Sarah, I've never had the privilege of greeting a new rider such as yourself but normally I would invite them to some cool stuff. BUT you are already down on all the coolness that we do so just keep doing what you are doing I guess, and as for biking - I want you to sign a contract ahaha we will win again next year for sure now!

Fruity,
You. Are. Awesome.
And I'm thinking Paris to Ancaster (60k) or St. George To Ancaster 35K would probably be a lot of fun.
