Hey everyone, just wanted to let you guys know that the Athletic Center (AC) is once again holding spinning fitness classes this semester! Its a great way to keep in shape (or get in shape) and meet some new people. Please note that if you are not fond of a particular instructor or miss a class you may attend another class provided there is room available that day. In other words you have priority on a bike in the time slot you registered for. Classes never ever seem to be full to capacity although the noon classes are pretty popular.

Right now there is a fitness schedule for this week with "free to try classes" for the first week of class including spinning.

There is a typical fee for fitness classes and spin classes in general for the semester. WHY? The University of Guelph chooses not to charge you and arm and a leg in the student fees of tuition for the extended use of the facilities. It is a way to pay for what you use. There are basic activities (Skating, Swimming, pickup basketball and badminton.. maybe some other things too in the gym, and Running in the Dome) that are free to all students. Check out the hours of operation for when there is time slots for all these fun things: www.gryphons.ca/Facilities/Hours_of_Operation
See here or the front desk for registration details: www.gryphons.ca/static/rec_spinning.htm
I expect to be teaching a couple classes this semester but the schedule hasn't been sent to instructors yet, they usually wait to finalize it last minuet based on registration numbers. BUT, I will be sure to let you know when you can find me there in room 300 and come check out a class .
