Hey folks, This is just a heads up, that with the advent of a late spring, most trail systems in the area are still very muddy and prone to damage. Riding should be refrained until they dry up a little more. The folks at GORBA (Guelph Off Road Bicycling Association) put alot of effort into maintaining the local trail systems, and to have them rutted and torn apart by some early season recklessness would be a shame. Also, if you are interested in joining GORBA or donating , please check out their site. www.gorba.cacheers.

Thanks Aaron, It is going to be a challenging Spring this year and together we can reduce the impact on ALL trails - an investment that will keep us riding and enjoying them for many years to come. Quote from our "Trail Erosion Alert" at gorba.ca : "This past winter we experienced a few brief periods of intensely cold temperatures that resulted in the formation of ground frost to a much deeper level than in previous years. As a result, the thawing trend during the last week has left the melting surface water to sit on top of the frost, creating a muddy trail surface that is saturated with water and very susceptible to damage. Please be patient, let the trails dry out, and help minimize the damage to the GORBA Trail Network." Igor Hoogendoorn GORBA Executive - Trails Supervisor IMBA Rep - Southwestern Ontario
