This year is an interesting one for the direction of the team... the folks who have been an integral part of running the team and overseeing the organization for the past four years will be graduating.
As such we are looking for some fresh new talent to take up the responsibilities.
Historically there have been three positions that havent really been defined, but for sake of simplicity and in aiding you to pick your desired position, they have been redefined.
1.Team Captain: Oversees the club top to bottom, organizes UCup logistics, makes sure CSA paper work, Club Days sign ups and other events go without a hitch. Also collects membership email addresses and sends out emails to the listserv.
2. Event/Merchandise Coordinator: This person will spearhead the organizing of frosh rides, meet and greets, Pre-post UCup events. Also will be in charge of placing orders for TShirts, Jerseys and other desired merchandise.
3. Webmaster: Maintains website, takes care of any problems that may arise. (This position will be occupied by Dana for 2009)
All of these positions do not require alot of your time. If you are passionate about seeing more UoG cyclists out there together, then that enthusiasm is all you need.
The other requirements are:
- Must be an Undergraduate
- Must be a full time student
If you are interested shoot me a small paragraph as to why you want to do this (via Private Message), and I will share it with all the members who have been part of the team for at least 2 years. Collectively we will make a decision.
Decision will be announced at the Post UCup Wine and Cheese Event.
If there are any concerns about the selection process please let me know.
Also for what its worth, im putting together a loose calendar as to when to do what (postering, race organizing etc.) Whoever takes over just has to follow my cookie cutter guide and add their own sass and you'll be laughing.
