This is cool:
My hrm showed that when bonking its not just feeling like crud that makes you go slow. At the race my heart rate actually wouldn't rise like it normally would while ridding.
As % of max HR: Lap 1 -> 93% Lap 2 -> 91% Lap 3 -> 84%
It was somewhere between lap 2-3 that the forest fairies came out and told me to follow the yellow brick road home to narnia.
Funky! Also, you could surely just have found the above in any reputable human physiology textbook, but why learn from 'the science'.. its never right.
Derek: If I was thinking right I would have grabbed that feed to have some non-dirt to drink!
