Who else will be entering other than Bayden and I? Also, I'm going to try to arrange for someone to meet us at the finish so we don't need to take the shuttle back.

I'd like to, but it is contingent on me getting a cross bike.

For anybody wondering the Paris to Ancaster is an early season classic in Ontario, I've heard the course is friendly, but have not raced it myself. There are 35k and 60k options, looks like a heavy field, including 2 time Olympian Seamus McGrath. This makes me curious... www.parisancaster.com/I'd be interested in doing this one..

I'd like to, but it is contingent on me getting a cross bike. The OCA booklet I picked up at the cycling show classifies this one as a MTB XC. Is that right? I'm strongly considering this one myself if it is.

def. need a cross bike if you want to place in your age group. Its like the lake to lake Dan, not a true mountain bike race but mostly flat and not paved. It's a sprint race, for 60k, lol.

Lake to Lake has been won on a MTB for the past 6 editions at least.. just a fyi... But yes, Dan, lots of rail trail/fields/etc. I'd go if it weren't for exams.

Alright, maybe this calls for bringing out the hardtail and locking out the front suspension. For me, races like these are not about placing, but about getting better.

awesome Dan! These citizens races on the OCA calendar are geared towards just that. I hear its a good time, never been able to do it because of exams or hockey tournaments. Apparently there's this really muddy hill at the end where the big joke/rumour is that they call the local fire department to soak it the night before the race ;(
@ Stu, yeah in the 11 years being involved with the L2L race in some form, i haven't seen too many cross bikes. I have seen people do it on recumbents and tandems. I guess with the P2A being so early in the season the higher end race enthusiasts it attracts have the luxury of having/borrowing a cross bike.

I just decided that I'm super mega interested in racing this. How's the "single track"? 29er or cyclocross?
