Hi Everyone,
Over the past few months staff from Wellington-Dufferin-Guelph Public Health, the County of Wellington, and Centre Wellington Township have been working with our consultants MMM on collecting data, preparing base mapping, and reviewing background material for the two master plans noted above. As you know a survey (in electronic and hardcopy formats) has also been out in circulation since late August seeking input into the two master plans. Travelling displays have also been prepared and are currently travelling to various municipal facilities, libraries and partner organizations outlining the projects and providing people the opportunity to fill in the survey.
We are now beginning another phase of the project which involves two different types of public input into the County & Township Master Plans. The first set is to host a workshop with key stakeholders to develop a Vision for Active Transportation & Trails , collect opportunities and constraints for the systems, and discuss possible policies.
The County Wide Workshop with Key Stakeholders will be held on Thursday October 20th from 9:00am to 12:00 at the Elora Community Centre. We do hope that you will all be able to attend this very important workshop. Please RVSP to me.
If you have not filled in a survey please take a few minutes and connect to the following link; www.surveymonkey.com/Wellington_Questionnaires
If you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact either myself, Andy, Sarah or Jay via email
Sincerely,
