The lightest bar stem combo still available.
Syntace f99 stem (105mm, 6deg rise, 100g)
Easton ec90 25.8 flat bar, 5 degree sweep (99g)
Ive had this on my bike for the last 5 years. A few cosmetic scratches on the clear coat, but nothing else. Anyone who knows me, knows that my bikes are always in immaculate condition.
This combo is wicked for racing, as it handles sharp, sets you in an aggressive position. Perfect for climber types... Absalon, Frischknecht, Green, Spitz and Kabush all used this combo at some point.
However, if you consider yourself a low cadence hammer out of the saddle and yank on the bars type of rider, like a in the cabbage drunken miscreant, then I wouldn't recommend this combo.
