Hey Guelph! A racer from the U of T team here, looking forward to the U-Cups this coming season Looks like next year I will be moving back to BC, and while I love my Scalpel, the mountain terrain there is super-rugged and require a heavy all-mountain type of set-up, unlike in Ontario where I could pretty much ride everything on an XC set-up. What they call "XC" in BC is more like downhill in Ontario Ideally I could keep this bike for XC races, and just buy a second trail bike, but don't have the time or finances to maintain two bikes. Anyways, about the bike. This is the 2012 Cannondale Scalpel model #2. Details directly from Cannondale below, exactly as shown: www.cannondale.com/2012-scalpel-2-21383additions: Crankbros egg beater pedals + 2.4 RaceSport Edition of Continental Mountain King II & X-King ran tubeless. The bike is in excellent and almost-new shape, and I babied it since got it in April (they replaced my 2011 one because of a defect). There is the unavoidable but very minor and nearly invisible scuff marks from rubbing of branches and other offenders from the trail. The MSRP $5000. If you are serious buyer, just message me, and we can see what price works for both of us. Alternatively, I will consider trades for a 2011 or 2012 model mid-end all-mountain type of bike (e.g. Trek Remedy) with at least 140mm of travel front and back.
