And here we go again. By now I'm sure most of us know the drill. Get on your bike, climb a hill, and brag about it here. Point system: Rattlesnake = 4 Other Escarpment Climbs (OEC). = 3 Watson Rd. northbound= 2 (AKA 'Col de Watson' and the 'Watsonberg') Wellington Rd 44 = 2 Grange/Regent = 1 The Hills maps.google.ca/maps/ms?hl=en&ie=U....c3f76dfcf262356Points Standings: (updated July 15th) Rookie Dan - 57 flav - 48 Pascal - 38 AndrewM - 23 Gill - 14 BrianP - 8 Morgan - 8 Schmidt - 8 James - 6

James did his climb on a fixie - +1 hipster point (Disclaimer: Hipster points do not contribute to actual hill climb standings, and become null and void should hill repeats on fixies become cool.)

6th line: 3 Watson: 2 Rattlesnake: 4 = 9 - counted
On a side note: I would highly advise not doing rattlesnake for a while. Waaay too much mud. I felt like I was going 2 feet forward, one foot back. Hopefully it should be cleaned up within a few weeks.

Any way to incorporate hill climbs made outside of Guelph for those of us not around for the summer?

We have thrown this idea around before, I think Stu suggested doing a thing where like Cat 1,2,3 etc climbs would be assigned points. We didnt go with it cuz this system is easier lol
Id be open to reconsidering though...

Personally, I believe the beauty of this system is its simplicity. I'm not opposed to creating a system for those who can't ride in/around Guelph, but it has to be simple and work pretty much everywhere.

James and I climbs some of the escarpment in Burlington. I hit up Walkers Line Northbound from Derry to the quarry, and Walkers Line Southbound from Quarry to Derry, and James and I both hit Walkers Line Southbound at the Britannia link.
Dan - 3 OEC x 3 = 9 James - OEC x 1 = 3

Not sure where the plus 13 next to my score came from. I just went through all of the posts and believe the scores posted to be correct based on what has been posted. I doubled checked my strava ride records and 57 points agrees with it, can't find the extra 13 anywhere.
