I'M SO EXCITED!!! U-Cup season is so close. Turn the stoke up to 11, put in one more training ride, and brace yourselves for a familiar beverage in a blue can.

Does one need a UCI or OCA license or anything to participate?

You do not need a UCI license. However, if you do not have one, you will need to purchase insurance for the race series at a reasonable additional fee (Im 99% sure of this but someone correct me if im wrong!)
For anyone who is a roady or does not have a mtn bike and wants to kick some ass with us this fall, chechk out that U-Cup special through Sweet Petes in Toronto!

Alex has it right. There's a one time race insurance fee that covers you for the season that must be paid in addition to the race fees.

So this is pretty far in advance, but it turns out I'll be working 10-5 on saturday sept 21... also known as Mansfield weekend!! I still want to get my stoke on for this event, so if anyone is driving up, either saturday evening or sunday morning, let me know so I can throw down on the race course!

Looks like I won't be racing this weekend since I still have not received my rear shock from custom tuning, but I'm hoping I can make it out next weekend. Leslie, I'll let you know what's up later next week! I have room for you if I end up going for the Sunday.
What's the deal with the Mansfield weekend? Are there two different races, or just a race on Sunday?

Leslie, I will be coming from Guelph Sunday as well so we will have a carpool for any stragglers( I will be racing Saturday also but need to leave for a wedding for that night.)
Jacob, that sucks dude but looking forward to seeing you out later! There is the Crit and Time Trial on Saturday for the Mansfield weekend and everyone will be camping out that night. The next morning is the XC race, its a Wicked weekend!
Rookie Dan will be posting for organizing rides for HArdwood today

We usually leave at 7am on race day from the Tim Hortons on Stone (across the mall by the Burger King)... And on sundays I think we're back around 4 or 5pm... But details are usually posted on the "organizing post" for each race
