Well Guys it’s that time of year again!! I hope you all have your stoke on, I know I do!! This weekend we start the fun o U-cup season, after the fun of our Meet and Greet. So as per usual this series is open and designed for EVERY level of cyclist out there!! From the top guns to the people who just realized the wheels go round and round haha
So to come to the races as a part of this magnificent team of awesome people here’s what you’ve got to do: Reply to this post saying that you are down to race (the more excited you are the better! And who knows a prize may come out of that… you just never know!). So we can keep track of how many people are coming and how many spots we have in vehicles please post up: 1P 1B (1 person 1 bike). So post up let us know you are in!! Another thing let us know what category you plan on racing: there is A and B. A racers race a little longer of a course, with some changes from the B course. Slightly harder but some great shredding! A racers are people who have some good experience racing and can really rip! The B race is slightly easier and short but still just as sweet!! It is designed for Beginners and those with little experience. It’s design to welcome people into the sport, so do not be shy about it!
Also if you have a car, PLEASE help us out!! Its always tough to find rides so anyone who can pitch in would be fantastic. Also if you have vehicle post up how many people and bikes you can transport.
For the financial portion of the racing here’s what it was last year, I will confirm for tomorrow if that changes: The entire series costs $150, which gets you 6 races and a t-shirt. If you have UCI/OCA insurance, you're good. If not, you need to pay a one-time fee of $25 for the race series insurance, which covers you for all 6 races. Individual races cost $30. Make sure you bring cash or a check, as debit/credit is not options. To race this weekend, you need $150 to pay for the entire series OR $30 to pay for just this race, and $25 for insurance if you don't have a race license, and a few dollars for gas money
We will meet Sunday morning at the Tim Horton’s on Stone rd. across from the mall at 7am! Please be there on time as the early we can leave the early we get there and can get ready to race!!
If I missed anything or you have a question please post it and I will gladly clarify something for you and answer your questions! I’m looking forward to this, I hope you are too!! Let’s go out for a Rip Guelph!
