Another race season in the books means another bike on the market!
I purchased this bike in January of 2014 direct through Raleigh Bicycles. If you are unaware, this historic and established company is back at producing high performance and beautiful bicycles. They have a full line of high end products which include road, cross and a XC Mountain bike line which includes their flagship model, Talus 29 Carbon Pro.
The bike tracks the trail and obstacles awesome, handles awesome, and corners GREAT for a 29er.
The light 29inch wheels and stiff carbon frame means that this bike can go very fast when you want.
Combine all this with its total weight of 21 pounds (without pedals), and you’ve got a wicked race ready bike that can handle any type of trail thrown at it. I have ridden this hard tail bike confidently through Hilton Falls (all of bent rim), Kelso, Sudbury area, Hardwood Hills, and Haliburton.
No used bike is perfect if it has actually been ridden and raced-and this bike is no different.
The only parts I have replaced are the chain halfway through the season and the rear tire.
The cranks are beat up aesthetically but other than that I avoided any series crashes that caused damage to the parts or frame.
The only point to note is the rear wheel has a dent in the rim. It is still very true and seals properly to the tubeless tire because of these rims and tires being excellent for tubeless set-up.
Apart from that, the bike is in excellent condition and has been kept clean and maintained for elite racing performance by me and the mechanic at the shop I ride for.
$2900 OBO. Please message me for any more details on here or shoot me an email alefebvr09@gmail.com
