Hey Everyone,
I'm doing the Paris-Ancaster race this Sunday and was curious if anyone has a pair of slick or semi-slick 26" tires to lend me for the race?
I suspect I'll be on knobbies, but thought I had better ask at least. Apparently all the competitive guys are on either cross bikes or mountain bikes with slicks as there are a lot of roads and rail-trails.
Thanks!

YES!!!!!!!!!! This is great news! Thanks a tonne!
I'm thinking i should ride the Specialized tires. There will likely be mud, but Christy has done this race a couple of times and she does it on 1.25". Her brother and his friend always fair well on narrow slicks as well. Her brother told me about 2 years ago, they were at the start line with slicks and people were laughing at them. Needless, he got the last laugh.
Saturday would be perfect. Thanks again Aaron.

if you can find some semi-slicks (green michi's work best in my experience) and pump them up to 80 or so, thatll do the trick fairly well, worked for a friend 2 years ago, won his ex. class on a mtb and those

you people make me jealous, something always comes between me and paris to ancaster weekend.
My dad's gone and come back coverd in mud before, unsure how much sections of the trail could be potentialy muddy though. I know at least half is rail trail etc and with those skinnier tires you'll be laughing!
