Hey Team,
Next Monday and Tuesday are Club Days! This is when 90% of our recruitment occurs.
If you would like to man our booth in the UC for awhile please speak up!
It's really quite simple, there will be a signup sheet for new members, some pamphlets to give out and I will provide you a list of things to say to inquiring students.
Club days run from 8:00 am to 4pm on both days, if you can help out for even 1hr it would be greatly appreciated.
Post here when you are willing to help and I will whip up a schedule.
Cheers, Aaron

I am willing too.
P.S. Does 'the list of things' include plans/developments for next season. I'm kindof curious.

There are a few things that need to be emphasized over other things that may be taken for granted.
For example...
Last semester I felt we could have done a better job with the beginner demographic of our club. We didn't reach out to them as much as i'd have liked. Promoting the beginner component more than our competitive component is key, i'll explain later.
Also, we dont reach out to girl riders as much as we should. Being a predominantly male club, i get the impression that it may be one reason why girls may be nervous to come out to our rides (note: 55% of our member list are girls yet we don't fill up our female racing categories)
There are a couple other little things too...
What time are you able to sit at the booth Mon, Tues?

i can sit monday after like 12:30.
the key to getting girls to come out is to make sure they know we actually have girls i the club! hahaha.
so id say we should always have some eye-candy sitting at our booth. maybe a couple of us could bring bikes, too....
hooray cub days!

I can't do any tuesday between those times but will come monday afternoon but can't say exacly when i'll be done, so i'll just reinforce whoever's there, if anyone.
But good points about recruitment aaron. we should hook a bike up with one platform pedal, one clipless, one xt side, one side with side view mirrors one leg pants, the other spandex cover the spectrum.

bayden: motha-truckin' brilliant!
i love it. let's do it. straight up. anyone have some old spandex?

edit: actually that really is a great idea. not only does it cover the spectrum, but it's definitely eye-catching.

i was also going to suggest that you morgan are encouraged to dress up half man half woman to cover the other spectrum.

hahaha... Bayden bring the spandex/casual clothing and Morgan will represent our female population we can't make it.... Maybe Luke can help him out too - i`ve seen those sexy facebook pics It is UTTERLY important that we reach out to every type of rider out there and not pass our selves off as the highclass 3rd ranked in the province team like we are... Grass Routes all the way! Build GMBC for the future... that's where it all starts, somebody who rides a bit, maybe doesnt' have the greatest of bikes... and they get HOOKED. I sense all the other girls besides those who attended U-Cups fall under that umbrella tree. Anyone makin up one of those snazzy storyboard posters for the club days??? Showcase some of our riding pics .... you can get them printed at like Zehrs for cheap. Do we get a close up look/sneakpreview of the jersies sported by the one and onlys "El Presidente and Son" ? P.S. I dont' have a good timeslot chunk on either of those days BUT I`ll definatly be killin time at the booth

Just remember that's not the only thing we're about is U-Cups.

No sewing needed! you can.. for instance, try putting spandex on first, then cutting a legg off the pants as close to the beltloops up top as possible, then put pants over. voila. Same with jersey, cut old t-shirt in half, without cutting the neck or waist, so you cut a big giant patch of fabrid out then put that over a jersey.
