Hey everyone, My name's Rebecca, I'm in second year Psychology and I'm not a very experienced biker. I have a very cheap road bike and I've done a 160 km bike-a-thon for charity annually for about 5 years (80 k a day) and I bike.. very rarely. I would love to get more into biking. I actually have a sad, and funny story. Last year I was going to join the club, actually, I did I think. Then, I lost my bike lock keys. My poor bike was locked in the basement of South residence for the entire year last year until my dad came and cut it off when I went home for the summer. Looking forward to meeting you guys, and I hope to do some sweet rides

Hey there, my name is Brandon and I'm in second year Engineering.
Over the summer i invested in a nice entry level mountain bike, and I've been doing the local trail back in Brampton (that's where I'm from). This year I really want to take it to the next level and do at least one of two mountain bike races (competing in a race has been my dream for the last 2 years now). I look forward to riding with you guys this year and hopefully I'll be able to keep up with you lol

Good to hear from you Brandon.
Most of the club is in Mansfield this weekend for the first race in the University Cup Mountain Bike Series.
You should definitely join us for the next one! Check the forums and post up for rides.
Cheers

Hi, my name is John, and I am a first year student in the agriculture.
I have been riding for many years on my Specialized mountain bike. I enjoy riding in the Don Valley, Durham Forest, and the Rouge Valley (Pickering).
For now, I am stuffing my bike in my dorm room, alongside my hockey equipment. . . my poor room mate.

Hey guys, thanks for taking the initiative to find us and post on our site, follow this for EVERYTHING to do with our club/team.
Paat, to answer your questions we do have rides leaving at least once a day, typically leaving from the cannon. There are mountain bike rides as well as road rides and EVERYTHING is done here on the forums. If you can learn to check this daily, your cycling options will increase through the roof. word.

Hi everyone!
My name is Lisa and I'm taking 2nd year agriculture. I just transferred here from BC. My hometown is Nelson, BC.
I'd love to get in on some mtn bike rides once my bike arrives in a week or two. I hear you are pretty crazy out here and I'd like to see what the hype is all about. I've done some downhill but mainly enjoy cross-country riding. I've been riding for years but sadly have been away traveling without a bike for quite some time so I have to work up my skills every time I go home for short visits.
Looking forward to getting on the trails again!

Alright, I'm new. My name is Shiona, I'm a grad student (gasp), and I just picked up my first road bike two months ago. My old MTB (that I bought in grade 7) decided to completely fall apart on me after 2 triathlons this season, so I thought it was finally time to make the switch. I'm really hoping to improve my cycling, so I'm really excited to find this group! I just wish I had stumbled upon it earlier in the season!

Not quite new, but coming back to the area, going to be at u of waterloo *gasp*, would be great to have people to ride with. I'm from Collingwood so if anyone is up here over the summer and wants to go for a ride, dh, xc, or road look me up.
Heres a question: Can alum still race in the u-cup races?

Hey Joel, as far as I know, alum can race, just not for points towards their school of affiliation. Hope to see you at some u-cups!

Hey guys and gals! I'm Darrien and soon to be a third year biology student. Coming from an area in Toronto where its impossible to ride on the roads I can't wait to get back to Guelph. All summer I rode Montreal's amazing routes and finally saved enough money for a proper road bike after using an antique for the last few years. Hope to ride with the other roadies around here! Cheers.
