Ahoy! Curious where everyone washes their bikes off after riding trails in Guelph? I live in an apartment and there is no hose here so it's a little rough after riding muddy trails bringing it into the apartment... Is there a wash station on Campus anywhere that people use? Or should I just throw it in the speed river for a bit and let the current wash it off?

Bike washes aren't a necessity and spraying water into lubricated parts doesn't turn out well anyway.
Even after riding in moderately muddy conditions, an old empty spray bottle (i.e. glass cleaner) filled with water and detergent does a great job. The ones with adjustable nozzles are best because the narrow stream has the most cleaning power and goes where you aim. Add in a brush and rag, and your bike will be clean in no time.
Since you live in an apt., you'll just have to stash your cleaning tools downstairs, or at a friend's house.

I live on the 12th floor of an apartment.
Scrape the big stuff off out side. then take off the wheels and toss that sob into the shower.
seriously.

This just became the sexiest thread in club history. Kids these days...
And extra points for McGrill for thinking of hydration during this type of strenuous chore, and packing a water bottle.
