Etienne from Queens is talking with Mcgill about doing some raod races at the end of March this year.
A criterium is a definite possibility.
Guelph has never particapted in road racing so if anyone is interested in participating in this post up on here.
Please post your ability level also so I can get an idea of what kinda of team we would get together.
Beginner: Never road raced or do some mtn bike racing
Intermediate: Done some road races or compete regularly mtn biking and would like to give road races a try(Im pretty fit!)
Expert: Regular within the road race circuit. Preferably race S3-S1
Pro: I pulled Team Sky up the mountains in the Tour this year!

Hey, Etienne here, one of captains of the Queen's cycling team.
There would be four categories, like the u-cup series, men's A/B women's A/B. Let me know if you guys want to come! I'm trying to figure out costs and they look ugly, so I need to know how many riders will come and see if this race is possible or not.

Hey guys, so looks like we would be able to put together a decent group for UGC! UPDATE: Queens is going to host a criterium on March 24 in Kingston which should definitly be doable for us. Queens is also going to participate in a collegiate road race series in the States. collegiatecycling.org/eccc/wiki/index.php?n=Calendar.CurrentAlthough its a bit of a trek, I think hitting up a couple of these weekends would be a lot of fun and a good experience for everyone. Queens wants to do the weekends of March 16/17, March 30-31 and April 6-7. Ill let everyone chew on that...Im def interested in at least 1 trip to the states but we got some time to decide on what weekend(s) works for what people.

I believe you will need a UCI license - as it is international. You should be able to purchase one soon. They run about $120-140 and can be used for just about any cycling event.

OCA/UCI licences are now available. Go to the ontario cycling website for details.
Also, $158 this year? wtf
