So registration for intramurals for next semester opened today and close on the 28th, so if we want to make some kind of team now would be the time! There's been some talk of this already I think, so let's discuss. I think soccer would be fun if we signed up for the right league. Also it might be the case that we have enough members interested to make a few other teams, depending on interest. I've heard of one called multisport where you play one game of each sport intramurals offers, but I don't see it on the website for next semester. Post up here what you guys think would be fun to play!

DAAAAAAAAAAMN we are a sexy bunch!
So for anyone who didnt particpate in intramurals last year heres a synopsis:
We played soccer co-ed competitive C. We had fun and it was a good team building thing for the winter months! However, we got our ass handed to us.... numerous times. We are mtn bikers and not in our element which is fair. The problem was that we were competing against people who have played this sport most of their life.
So for this semester, lets be cautious about the sport we play and make sure we can actually have a fighting chance whatever we play. I know it wont be serious and we`re not out to win all the time but it sucks to lose really bad week in and week out.
Anywho, im gunna vote!

Fun league this year for soccer, probably B or C category. The division descriptions on the Intramurals website really need to be updated to reflect the actual levels. Competitive C was most definitely not as described.

There is also flag football, but you play outside in the snow. Running in the snow is quite the workout but apparently people play it so it must be at least a bit of fun

Dodgeball! How is practicing to throw things at people more effectively NOT a competetive advantage for race season??

Also vote for soccer, kicking power is like cycling power...or something.

if we're gonna start talking about sports we dont want to win.. im gonna throw my 2 cents in and say DONT VOTE FOR DODGEBALL! I only have glasses (no contact lenses ) so i cant play due to the risk of getting hit in the face

You do realize the chance of being hit in the face with a ball is very high for all of those sports, right? lol (the exception being ultimate frisbee, in which case you could be hit in the face with a frisbee) I can recall being hit in the face with a soccer ball & a volleyball.. numerous times.. on separate occasions tho, thankfully. I think you'll be okay tho

not at all actually. dodge-ball is the only sport where you AIM for the people lol. and trust me, its very easy to miss the shoulders and accidentally hit someone in the head

^for some reason its not letting me edit it so heres what i meant to say: not at all actually. dodge-ball is the only sport where you AIM for the person, and where the goal is to HIT the person and not just pass them a ball or anything. and trust me, its very easy to miss and accidentally hit someone in the head

If you notice most of these stem from people kicking the ball...

James, I got a similiar suggestion today. We are going to stick with one team because last season we had enough trouble trying to get people to come out and fill positions.
I will update tomorrow on the sport we are going to play.
