Hi all, I'm ducking my head in again to say hello, and ask if anyone is planning/considering attending the Tuesday night 'cross series that Kelso is putting on? Link here. I've never raced a cross event in my life, but I'm half decent at the other disciplines and am tired of doing roadwork/spinning all winter, especially when this is less than a half hour away. Anyone interested?

I will also be doing some of the races! I've never done cyclocross, but I've started to practice some 'cross techniques and I'm really excited!

Yes! I'm stoked on the response this got.
Two questions then: 1) Does anyone have a car and would be maybe willing to lend a ride? Ideally I'd like to do the series, save the first race as I won't have my bike yet! 2) Would anyone also like to do some practicing together?
I'm super new to 'cross as a whole, but I got a smoking deal on a 2014 Jake the Snake from my home shop (in St. Catharines) and want to give it a shot!

Also, my mom just informed me that we have two hitch bike racks laying around, a 3-bike and a 4-bike... Not sure on the hitch size. If anyone needs one/this helps facilitate getting a group of us up there, please let me know!

Would you mind if I hitch a ride with you? Also just sort of a general question: do we need to purchase a Halton Conservation license and the race registration fee, or just the $60 race fee? And I'd be able to pick my plate up tomorrow night before the (late) race, right? Sorry for the bombardment of questions!
Edit: I just saw that James replied to my message and said he's got room. I'm good!

Just an update: I went to last night's race and had a blast. I had only ridden my (or any) CX bike once before, but signed up for the Expert category anyways and had an awesome time getting my legs ripped off! I would definitely recommend trying this series to anyone. Super fun but super hard. Hope to see and meet some other UGC'ers out there!
