Getting your ass kicked on a ride isn't neseccarily a bad thing. You learn what your are really capable of doing, push your self and discover your vulnerabilities.

sorry guys, serious injury Persistent stiffness in lower right hand back/hip muscles from a summer back injury. Discomfort begins around the afflicted area an hour to an hour thirty into a ride, depending on number rest days since the last one. The flaring is around the major nerve cluster for the right leg which starts a domino effect in the working muscles in my right leg, resulting in a number of exciting "bonus injuries" (essentially pain due to a lack of flexibility in the hip which results in extra strain for the hamstrings and achilies tendon). I've been continuing my daily stretching routine faithfully and TRYING to reduce the number of hours in the saddle to resolve this but it doesn't really seem to be helping. Suggestions?

Epic Endo:
Leaves covering a mud pit on a section of downhill. Front wheel sinks up to the bottom of the fork. Begin endo; SSUUPPEERR SSLLOOWW MMOOTTIIOONN. About to touch face to ground; speedthefuckup. Somehow fly off my bike and out from under it so it doesn't land on me, but instead of landing in the nice squishy mud that started this shibang, I crash into a decent sized rock with my knee, and my face hit a tree. sweet. Important parts: Possibly re-smushed the meniscus on my left knee. Not so good.

Ouch.
My baseball injured calf is mostly scabbed over now. 20 cm^2 of scab is big pain in the ass though, let me tell you.
