Anyone taking a spinning class at the AC this semester?
Its really awkward being the only guy in a spinning class.
Also, is it just me or did they jack the price of the spinning classes?

Its really awkward being the only guy in a spinning class. When you were 7 and you saw the ice cream buffet at pizza hut, did you feel awkward?

This is how I see it: www.youtube.com/watch?v=LU8DDYz68kMWatch the whole video. Lion Pride= Me Buffalo= The entire rest of the spinning class To the inexperienced lions, it may look like they have a chance with a small, weak buffalo... but then, the buffalo being able to communicate in their own buffalo language, organize and show their true strength thus, protecting one another from the advances of the lions. Morals to this story: -the group of buffalo don't trust the lions and will unite to protect each other when they come in close contact (regardless if the lions are actually a threat at the time) -a single lion pride is no match for a group of buffalo. I would not consider myself a threat to the buffalo, my intentions are just to work out but who knows what the crazy buffalo will mistake my presence for. I don't speak their language.

Well the point is that the lions still got something to eat, and a bit roughed up, sounds kinda kinky. Also the only thing that there was only one of was the crocodile, which kicked ass! And how much money are we talking for spin classes?

ummmmm I feel as though a little female advice is necessary in this thread since it's a sausage fest up in here. I doubt any of the females at the spinning class are wearing a thong as the bear skin rubbing on the seat might cause a rash. I also doubt many of them are wearing push-up sports bras to reveal more cleavage than your average hooker. I wouldn't doubt, however, that the instructor of the class might walk up to the single male and bite her lip. You may not want to mention your analogy referring to woman as buffalo, it might lower your chances with her. Just a tip

BTW, I signed up for the tues/thur 5pm class but they said I could go to as many classes and at whatever time slot I want as long as there is enough space. The cost came out to $80.

One time, I had someone tell me that they used to do "hot spinning" like "hot yoga". I wondered distantly in my head if that was safe.... So maybe that is what your instructor is playing at. But that is just one guess of many.

recommend: not doing that and plugging in the fan yourself. Usually instructors just forget, or its too loud to speak over. I never turned it on. But then again, I like to see my class in PAINNNNNNNNN. jokes. haha. jooookes.

Sort of on topic, do any of you guys use trainers? I couldn't think of a place to use one in res, so I might end up spinning. Where can I get more info on UOG spin classes?

Many of us use trainers, but only when the weather really starts to suck, cuz it's always nicer to ride outside.. No matter what rez you're in, im sure you can find a way to set up your trainer in your room. creativity is key. On top of that, we occasionally have trainer parties in the off season; a bunch of people meeting at someones house with bikes, trainers, movies, music, food, and whatever else to spin for a solid sesh. In terms of spin classes, there FREE! for the first week of school, then you can also REGISTER if you think you're gonna be a regular. Click the blue for more info...

Thanks Simon! I don't think my Roommate will appreciate my spinning in our room... So I think I'll forgo the trainer for the first year. I guess I'll have to *sigh* run outside instead of cycle inside.
Thanks for the info!
