Hey All!
My name is Mike and I am currently heading into 3rd year at the vet college. I would probably rate myself in the beginner-intermediate range. I've been trying my hand at mtb racing this summer and started road biking last summer. Looking to get some more riding in before the snow falls (if it falls...) and maybe participate in the UCup races. So, if anyone posts a mtb or road ride in the near future you may be getting a friendly request for a tag-along from yours truly. I look forward to meeting the club members and hopefully getting better at this biking thing.
Mike

Hey Mike, anyone in the club would be thrilled to have you out on a ride. And we'd strongly encourage you to try out the U-Cups this Fall. We'll have a number of rides going out this week, keep your eye on the forum and go for as many as you can. Hope to see you on a ride soon!

Hi Everyone,
My name is Tomas, and I graduated back in 2009. I had no previous idea about the UGC, and was recommended to join by a couple of friends. I have had my first serious MTB for about 3 years now, and just got a road bike this summer. I'm looking to get in some rides and to develop more of my MTB skills (J-Hop, Manual, etc..). I assume I am a little too old for the UCUP, however I will be out supporting you guys, cheering you all on. Looking forward to some rides and hanging out with all of you at any of the events I am able to make it to.
Tomas

Hello everyone, my name is James and I'm going into my second year of Nutrition and Nutraceutical Sciences. I've been pretty big into cross country for seven or eight years and have been a part of my local scene (St. Catharines) for almost as many in local races and group rides. I'll try and make it out to some group rides in the near future and might try my hand at the UCups if it doesn't interfere with my work (work work, not school work, of course) schedule.
Cheers!

Hey everbody!
My name is Filip, I'm majoring in Natural Resource Management going into my sophomore year. I was on my high school mountain bike team for a couple years, raced and rode both within and outside of the team. In my last year of high school I (mistakingly) transitioned from cross country to dirt jumping and eventually bmxing. After a 3 year "break" from xc, I got myself a new bike and I'm ready to ride and race again with you all! Have you guys ordered this year's jerseys yet? I was hoping to get my hands on one

Hi!
My name is Stacey Forbes, but you can call me Stace. It is my first year at Guelph, I'm 19 years old and I can't wait to meet everyone! I have been in cycling my whole life and raced for 7 years. Due to a major concussion I have had post concussion syndrome for the past two years and have been out of racing but I have recently been cleared to ride, YAY! I have only ever raced in the Mountain Biking events but I also do a lot of training rides out on my road bike! I have both with me at school! The last two years I have been working at Baycycle and Sports, a bike store in Pickering!
I eat, sleep and breath cycling!
I can't wait to ride with everyone and race at the U-Cups! It's been a while since my last race! Stace

hey everyone! my name is Kyra and I am currently in my fourth year in the NANS program.
I have both a MTB and a road bike, but I prefer to road bike. I usually aim for between 40-85km for a good ride, depending on hills.
Im down for exploring new trails, going to different cities etc
I have been cycling alone for most of the summer, so i dont really know how i compare to others, but i'd say medium? not pro, not too new.
I look forward to going on rides with all you road bikers!
Cheers

Hi Everyone My name is Jessica. I am going into my fourth year in Biological Science. I have always enjoyed biking. The first summer I spent in Guelph I fell in love with the wonderful trails Guelph has in the city and MTB trails around Guelph Lake. I have never biked competitively or raced, but I am interesting in training to become a faster biker. I look forward to meeting you all and getting out on some trails! Jessica

Hi team!
My name is Mike and I'm a new member to the club but I've been around Guelph a while now. I like both MTB and road and have done a little bit of low key racing.
Right now I'm mostly looking for people to get out and road ride with for good times and exploring new routes! I'll be keeping my eyes open for any group rides on here and probably try to post my own.

Hey, I'm Leslie!
I'm first year in biological science, and I'm looking forward to hitting the trails with everyone. The only legit experience I have in mnt biking is last summer during an Army Cadet exchange to Australia, and this summer I staffed an expedition program at an Army Cadet training center (decent amount of trail & road) - but I love it, and I hope to get a lot better!
Can't wait to meet everyone!

Hey guys, new member here. My names Spencer and im a second year enviromental engineer. I like to get out on my mountain bike when I'm not snowboarding in the winter. I used to race a lot when I was younger but stopped for a few years. I am extremely interested in the u-cup events! They sound like a blast. Also not sure if anyone else is doing the epic 8 hour this weekend but I'll be there! Anyways hopefully I'll get to know most of you and go riding some time! Cheers.

Hi all, another newbie here. I'm Sarah and I'm a first year in Biochem. I've been road biking pretty much forever but I mostly run now. I've done a few sprint duathlons but other than that I haven't done any racing on the bike. If anyone's running any group rides on weekends I'd definitely be interested.

Hi, Just joined the forum! Bumped into the group about to head out for a ride and got very excited about the group and that there is a riding community at u of G. Im a first year graduate student in biotechnology. Usually into more road and time trial riding and have had the opportunity to ride in some pretty cool places. Got into a pretty big accident on a 5 day tour in Israel and broke some bones so trying to get back into it all more than compete. Love riding and started to get more into MTB this summer.
Hopefully I get a chance to ride with you all before the snow falls.

Hey Etai, awesome about the riding, too bad about the broken bones. Keep an eye on the forum and definitely try to make it out for a ride or two. We'll have a lot going in the next week and a bit to get ready for our last team race on October 14th. There will be some social events too, watch the forum and come out for any and all that you can. Hope to see you soon!
