hey, my name is Jarred, just moved into North from Hamilton. I haven't been biking for long, or even tried anything competitively but I'm definitely interested in mixing it up and trying new cycling things i guess i should be going to the meetngreet event to get things rolling with this club ?

Hey Jarred,
North has got to be a tight squeeze with a bike, good on ya! And we're doing a intro ride into guelph lake this wednesday if you can swing it, but if not for sure come out on friday, we'll all be there.
And when I joined this club I had never raced before either - but i can tell you its the perfect place to start if you're so inclined. Definitely give the races a go if you're at all thinking about it, you'll be glad you did!

Hey, my name is Dave. I made it to the ride tonight and it was fun and everyone seemed super friendly! I'm a fourth year Chemistry student and have been at Guelph for the last 4 years. I'm new UGCC but some of you already know me. I wanted to join so I can meet some new people, people who love to ride their bike as much as I do! And I want to get better, so I hope this is the right place to turn . I been riding MTB for a long time but I only got serious about it the last couple year. Been out riding a lot this summer, mostly with my buddy Mike McGill. I'm even considering joining the races and giving that a try to see how I do. Anyways, now I finally joined the forum I will be checking it regularly for rides and such. Cheers!

Hey, names Michael but you can call me Mike, or Morra (As I assume there are enough mikes)
I'm a 3rd year zoology student and I just got into road bikes casually over the past 2 years or so. Ive got a vintage road bike that is semi-fixed up. It gets me from point A to point B pretty fast so I have no complaints.
Down with cars!
look forward to future rides with y'all
(add me on the fatchbrook if you want to. <Michael Morra>

Hey Im Mariah and I ride mountain. I really got into it this summer when I worked at a bike store in Sudbury and am excited to see what Guelph has to offer ... (we have ALOT of rocks). I just got a really pretty Santa Cruz Juliana which I probably don't deserve but got an amazing deal on through the store and NEED to ride lots. Can't wait to meet the crew and get on the trails.

Hi I'm Nathan. I am new to the club, but I have been road biking ever since I got on my own two wheels as a kid. Just started to get into bike touring this summer with a week long tandem tour around the Finger Lakes in New York state and then a three day tandem trip 200 miles from Webster NY up to Guelph so I could have the bike here. I also ride a Trek 1000 road bike and a vintage Miyata 615GT touring bike. Hope to do more solo touring next summer. Looking forward to getting in on some of the group road rides this fall.

It's always good to see new faces [screen names]. Plus 5 years MTB experience!? Check out the race threads! Were always trying to get more people out to races and if you've never raced before its a great way to start. Club days are today and tomorrow so swing by our booth and meet a few of us or hit up a group ride asap.

Hi all, My name is Inara and I'm very new to the MTB scene. My stepdad is really into it and I went out with him a lot last fall around Albion and Mono Cliffs and LOVED it so hopefully I can ride some more here and possibly try some racing? I'm currently on a rather decrepid diamondback but have high hopes of borrowing/stealing my mother's beautiful Kona that is not being used to it's full potential (in my humble opinion ). Look forward to meeting you all out on the trails!

Hey Inara, it's not the quality of the bike, but the dedication of the rider that counts

Hey everyone I'm Daniel
I've rode a MTB my whole life until recently this summer I bought myself a road bike and i love the speed! I did the 80km ride for heart last April and got hooked on the sport. Never done any racing, but i'm stoked to get started.
Looking for some good climbing/hilly road routes and fun off-terrain for the MTB.
Look forward to riding with you all!
